F.U.T (Surgical)

FUT technique; a strip of scalp (20x2 cm. in average) is removed from the back of the head under local anesthesia. The wound is then sutured back together. This piece of scalp tissue is then cut in to small pieces of tissue called grafts. We can sutured the wound that grow up hairs in the scar. The recovery period is around 2 weeks and will require the stitches to be removed by doctor.

In a single mega session, we may transplant between 3000 to 4000 grafts depending upon your particular medical plan and the density of the donor area.

Advantages of FUT: The survival rates of the grafts obtained from FUT strip is high. The integrity of follicular units is very well preserved. The technique doesn’t require special equipment and instrumentation and can be applied quickly. The transplanted new hair will start growing in around 2-3 months.

Disadvantages of FUT: The numbers of grafts that can be achieved from the strip are limited. There will be some hair follicle losses during the dissecting process. An experienced team will keep this loss to a minimum. Since the grafts are thick and bulky, the holes on the transplanted area are larger as well. Some pain and discomfort may be felt on the head after the operation, due to the stretching of the skin.

The healing process is longer: around 2 weeks. A scar, although not visible under the hair, remains behind the head.

Since there will be a scar behind the head, the FUT technique might not be suitable for people who either are required to have a short haircut ( such as police or military personnel ) or prefer a short hairstyle

Advantages of FUE: The advantages of this technique over the conventional strip harvest are that it does not leave a linear scar, and the procedure produces little or no postoperative pain and discomfort. The trauma is much less and the healing time is much faster; within a week the patient feels considerably more comfortable after the operation. There is no scarring, no need for special care after the surgery and no need to remove the stitches.

Disadvantages of FUE: The disadvantages of this technique are that it requires significant experience, training and education. Special equipment should be used during the operation. There are some other disadvantages such as an increase in surgical time and a higher cost to the patient. FUE might not be appropriate for curly hair (for fear of dissecting and cutting hair roots under the surface of the skin risking damage to usable hair follicles).

The number of professionals worldwide who use the FUE technique successfully is still low but increasing due to patient demand.

MikroFUE hair transplantation and FUT when done right, can produce so natural outcome that only you (and us) will know that you had a hair transplantation. But the skill and experience of hair transplant surgeons does vary widely, as do their results. It's important to choose the right procedure and clinic to assure that you will get completely natural results.

Scientific basis for hair transplantation states that hair's genetic code resides within the hair follicle and not in the recipient site into which it is transplanted. The hair taken from the donor area will continue to grow in the recipient areas and not fall out as a result of pattern baldness because this hair is not sensitive to hormonal effects.

Hair is a distinctive feature that distinguishes us from others. Hair creates a youthful and attractive appearance.

Hair transplantation returns your own hair back to you. You will no longer suffer from the embarrassment due to hair loss and accompanying psychological complexes. You will feel better about yourself.
